Short-Term Mission Trip Code of Conduct

Please read the following Code of Conduct in its entirety and sign below. By typing your name, you are acknowledging that you have read the contract in its entirety and agree to all points. Typing your name constitutes your signature.

I desire to participate in a mission trip with Hope City Church, and I plan to obtain the funds necessary to do so. In the event that I do not participate in the mission trip for any reason, any charges incurred on my behalf, including, but not limited to, initial contributions, airline cancellation fees, and/or in-country costs, will be deducted from my account and I will be responsible for any deficit.

I agree that any claim or dispute arising from or related to the Mission Trip Contract and Code of Conduct or any mission trip in which I participate shall be governed by Florida law and the applicable laws of the United States of America.

The following Code of Conduct and any guidelines given by HCC staff are designed to be respectful of the cultures in which we work and must be followed at all times. Many behaviors and expressions, while accepted in the US may be highly offensive in other countries. These guidelines may cause slight inconveniences but your witness and service will be better received by being respectful of those we are going to serve. For specific questions, please contact your trip leader.

While on the mission trip:

* Please do not consume any alcoholic beverages

* Please refrain from smoking in public

* Please avoid coarse language and/or swearing

* Please be conscious of what you say around nationals (although English may not be their first language, most nationals understand more English than you think)

* If you are traveling with a minor, you will be responsible for the child at ALL times

* Please maintain a Christ-like attitude
